The QXB E and C series reducers are two-stage reduction units. The first stage reduction is achieved through a planetary gear reduction mechanism. The rotation of the input shaft is transmitted from the input gear to the planetary gears, which are decelerated according to the gear ratio. This represents the first stage of deceleration. The cycloid stage deceleration mechanism is the second stage of deceleration. It is achieved through the rotating eccentric shaft driven by the planetary wheel, which drives two cycloid discs in an eccentric motion. These discs are mounted symmetrically at 180° so that the forces are balanced. The eccentric motion results in the engagement of the discs with the pin gears located within the pin gear housing. Over the course of one week, the eccentric shaft rotates, causing the disc to move one pin tooth position in the opposite direction.
